I mainly concentrate on bottom fishing & lure casting; whether it is popping or casting lures. I have fished in Asia mostly and have done popping in Indonesia, Maldives & the Andaman Islands
How long have you been fishing? When did you start?
I’ve been fishing since I was 18 years old, and started enjoying popping & lure casting as early as 2009.
What do you like the best about fishing in the Andaman Islands?
The Andaman Islands, offer an extensive eco-system to various species and its pristine beauty is an excellent environment for me to relax and unwind in. The multi-variety of marine life and wildlife are the greatest attraction for me to fish year after year!
What are your tackle recommendations for large fish in general?
The biggies are not shy in showing off their prowess, so I would recommend PE 10 for popping & PE 4 (min) for jigging. Tackles should be aligned to the PE lines that are use
What is your all-time favourite lure for GT fishing?
Poppers from GFA, be it 130g or 150g. They are good, really good.
What is the most interesting experience you had on a fishing trip?
When I saw on the video, 2 biggies estimated to be above 40kg & a sub 30kg were fighting for my poppers. But it was the sub 30kg GT that got landed. I have yet to be lucky enough to land the 40kg & above, though I have gotten them to bite on my poppers!
What would be your message for the young generation of anglers?
Perseverance, determination & stamina to start off in fishing in the Andaman Islands|

GFA has always provided me with the best fishing experience ever. Be it GTs or Tunas, they took poppers like it’s their natural food. They devoured the poppers hungrily.
